Cunard

Our office is called Cunard and we are located in Shahabad, which is in the Gulbarga district of Karnataka. You can find us right on Ring Road, near the Muthathi petrol pump. It’s a handy landmark because almost everyone around here knows where that pump is. We are in a building called Gokulam. It’s not the biggest place, and it can get quite hot in this part of India, especially in the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time under the fans trying to stay cool while we work. The work we do here is mostly administrative and keeping things organized for the shipping and travel side. Even though we are a bit far from any ocean, we stay connected through the internet and phone. It’s a quiet life in Shahabad compared to the big cities like Bangalore or Hyderabad. We know most of the people who walk past our door. The office is simple with some basic furniture and our computers. We don't have any big corporate mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and go home. Sometimes the dust from the Ring Road gets into the office when the windows are open, so we’re always dusting things off. It’s just a regular part of our day. We like the local vibe here and being near the petrol pump means there’s always some activity nearby. It’s an honest way to make a living.
