Mehdipatnam is always a bit of a crawl when it comes to traffic, and our spot at H.No.12-2-112/A/1 is right there in the thick of it. This isn't where the planes are, obviously, but it’s where a lot of the communication work for the airline happens. We spend a lot of time on the phones and checking systems. The office is a bit cramped because we have so much equipment and old files tucked into every corner. It’s a bit of an older building, so it has its quirks, like the windows that don't always shut right and the way the light hits the desks in the late afternoon. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. Most of us have been working here for years and we just know the routine by heart now. We see the buses going toward the airport all day long from the window. It makes you think about all the places people are going while we stay here and keep the messages moving. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait it out, which gives us time to catch up on local news or share a snack. It’s a steady job in a busy part of Hyderabad. We don't have fancy signs or anything, just a sign on the door and a lot of work inside. It is a practical place for practical people. Most of us take the bus home right from the corner.
