Clerk

My office is right by the Army School, specifically Qtr No - 27/H in the Map Lines. If you are coming over the Rk Puram Fly Over, you can pretty much see where we are. I work as a clerk here in Secunderabad. It is a military area, so things are usually a bit more orderly on the streets, but my desk is a total mess. I have piles of folders and loose papers everywhere. It is a lot of typing and filing all day long. The building is an old style accommodation, so the ceilings are high but the windows are a bit small. It gets a bit drafty when it rains. Trimulgherry is a nice enough place to work, though the flyover traffic can be a real pain when I am trying to get home. I have a small kettle for making coffee in the corner. Most of the people I talk to are either soldiers or their families coming in for various bits of paperwork. I do not use any fancy software, just an old computer that takes forever to boot up in the morning. Sometimes the printer jams and I have to spend twenty minutes fishing out bits of paper. It is just a regular government-style job, nothing exciting. I have my routine and I stick to it. The pay is okay and it is close to home, so I cannot complain much about how things are going here.
