Cashier

We are tucked away in Room 510 of the Sri Venkateswara Hotel over here in Lakdikapool. It’s a busy part of Hyderabad, and you can always hear the traffic from the window if it’s left open. The hotel itself has people coming and going all day, so it’s never really quiet around here. Our office isn’t huge, just enough space for us to get the daily work done without tripping over each other. Usually, we start around nine in the morning and stay until things are finished in the evening. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we go when we need a break from the desks. The walls are a bit plain, but we have what we need to keep things moving. Sometimes the elevator in the hotel takes forever, so we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. The hallway smells like the hotel restaurant's cooking around lunchtime, which always makes us hungry. It’s a practical setup for us. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that because we are mostly focused on the papers in front of us. Most of the people around here know us by now. It’s just a normal workplace with a couple of computers and some chairs that have seen better days. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by, even if it gets a bit crowded during the rush hour. That’s pretty much how it is for us every day in room 510.
