Bangalore Airport Terminal Services (P) Ltd.

Our workplace is situated at C-2 within the JNCASR area in Jakkur, Bangalore-64. It’s quite a way out from the main city center, which is actually nice because it’s a bit quieter, though the traffic on the way to the airport can be a real headache. We aren't actually at the terminal itself, but this is where a lot of the ground-level planning and service coordination happens. The building is pretty standard for this part of Bangalore, nothing that stands out too much from the road. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks, some computers that take too long to boot up, and stacks of paperwork related to airport operations. You can often hear planes overhead, which is a constant reminder of what we are working on. We spend our shift hours looking at schedules and making sure the staff rosters are figured out. The weather in Jakkur is usually a bit cooler than the heart of the city, which we appreciate. There isn't a fancy lounge for us; we usually just have our coffee in the break area while talking about the latest flight delays or the construction on the roads nearby. It’s a straightforward job with a lot of routine. We come in, do our bit for the airport services, and then head back out into the Bangalore traffic. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what keeps the operations moving along behind the scenes. We just get through the pile of work.
