Asst.Manager

I am based at Hotel Manohar, which is located on the Airport Exit Road in the Begumpet area of Hyderabad. My name is Kishore Doddi, and I work here as an assistant manager. The hotel is situated in a very busy part of the city, right where people are constantly coming and going. It’s an older, established building that has a lot of character and is always full of life. My job keeps me moving all day long; I’m rarely just sitting at a desk. I spend my time checking on the rooms, making sure the kitchen is running okay, and talking to the guests who are checking in or out. It’s a very hands-on role, and I’ve seen just about everything in my time here. The lobby is usually noisy with the sound of luggage being rolled across the floor and people asking for directions. We don’t have a polished, corporate way of doing things; it’s more about being practical and solving problems as they come up. If a guest has an issue or something in a room isn't working, I’m the one who has to get it sorted out quickly. It’s a real, busy environment that doesn’t leave much time for sitting around. I also spend time in the back office handling the staff schedules and all the paperwork that keeps the hotel running. It’s a tough job but it’s straightforward and keeps me busy from morning until night.
