Down here in Ameen Colony, Saidabad, things get moving pretty early in the morning. Being part of the Hyderabad transport scene means we see a lot of people coming and going. The office is just a spot where we handle the paperwork and keep things organized for the routes. It’s not a shiny corporate building, just a functional space in a regular neighborhood. We deal with the buses, the schedules, and the everyday stuff that comes with getting people from one side of the city to the other. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We’ve got a lot of staff who have been here for years, knowing the turns and stops by heart. It gets loud when the shifts change and everyone is talking at once. We drink a lot of chai to keep going during the long afternoons. Saidabad has a certain rhythm to it, and we are right in the middle of it. It’s not always easy keeping everything on time with the way traffic behaves, but we stay at it. Most of us live nearby, so this place feels like a second home. We just show up, do the work, and make sure the engines are running. It is a lot of work but someone has to do it.
