Andhra Pradesh Tourism Dev.Corpn Ltd. We are up on the fourth floor of V.R. Pratibha Mansion Apartments in Tirumala Nagar, Amberpet. It is Flat No. 403. It is not your typical tourism office with big posters and shiny floors. It is more of an apartment that we use for work. There are files everywhere and a few old computers. We spend our days answering phones and trying to help people figure out their travel plans. Amberpet is a crowded area, so the street noise comes right up through the windows. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants that sometimes get forgotten. It is just a few of us working here. We have been in this building for quite some time now. Sometimes the lift stops working and we have to walk up all those stairs, which isn't fun in the heat. We don't have a big sign downstairs, so people sometimes get lost looking for us. We just do our bit to keep things moving. We aren't trying to sell you anything fancy. We just give out the information we have on the government tours and stuff. It is a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. If you come by, you might have to wait a bit if we are on the phone. We just handle the everyday stuff for the tourism department from this little corner of Hyderabad.
