Amogh Hotel

Punjagutta. Opposite NIMS. Our spot is right where the action is. Being across from the hospital means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. The address is 6-3-665. The building has been here for a while. It is not a five-star place with gold curtains. It is a hotel where people stay because they need to be near the hospital or they have work in the city. The lobby is small. We have a counter and some chairs that have seen better days. The rooms are basic. We spend our time checking people in and making sure the linens are clean. The traffic on the road outside is some of the worst in Hyderabad. You can always hear the sirens from the hospital. In the mornings, we get the breakfast ready. It is usually just idli or dosa. The staff stays in the back rooms. We have a lot of regular guests who come every month for check-ups at NIMS. We know their names. It is a busy life here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we keep things tidy. We don't have a gym or a pool. It is just a place to sleep and have a meal. The fans in the rooms hum loudly. It is just the way things are in this part of town. We are just keeping the place running for whoever needs a bed.
