Air Ticketing

We run our air ticketing business out of a house in Jagadirgutta, Hyderabad. Specifically, it’s H.No 36-46 in Devammabhasthi. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s not a fancy storefront on a main road. My name is Komal, and I mostly look after things here. We have a computer and a phone, and that’s really all we need to book flights for people. People from the Jeedimetla area usually find us through word of mouth. They come over, sit in the living room area, and we look up the right dates for their travels. It’s a very informal way of doing business, but it works for us. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Usually, the neighbors just point people to the right door. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open for the breeze. There’s a lot of noise from the street—kids playing, vendors selling fruit—but we’re used to it. We aren't a big travel agency with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small operation. We try to keep things simple. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to wait a bit to confirm the tickets, but we always get it done. It’s a nice way to meet people from the community. Most of our customers are just looking to visit family or go on a small trip, and we help them figure it out.
