Air India

Our office is located at Plot No.63 in Phase II of the Sancharpuri Colony. This is situated in New Bowenpally, over in Secunderabad. The pin code is 500011. It is a bit out of the way from the busy city center, which we actually like because it is much quieter here for our daily work. Air India is the name on the small board we have outside. The building itself is a simple two-story structure and we occupy the ground floor. There is a small garden out front that someone tries to clear of weeds about once a month, though it grows back quickly. The gates are usually kept open during the working hours. Inside, we have some old wooden desks that have been around for a very long time. We keep the stationery and extra paper in a metal cupboard that always squeaks when you open it. It is a very normal, everyday kind of office. We have a water cooler in the corner that everyone uses throughout the day. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour and we just have to sit and wait. We talk about the weather or the recent cricket scores while we wait for the power to come back on. The windows have iron bars on them for safety reasons. It is not one of those modern glass buildings. It is just a solid house that serves as our workspace. We get the mail around noon. The postman knows us well and stops to chat.
