We are tucked away in Guwahati, over at Byelane No.3 in Swarajnagar. It’s a quiet spot near Bagheswari Thaan. Our office is actually part of Ramesh Chakraborty’s place in Sorumotoria, Dispur. Working for Air India-Singapore Airport Terminal Services from here might seem a bit unusual since we aren't right at the airport fence, but it works out well for us. The area is green and a bit more peaceful than the main city roads. We handle a lot of the background stuff that people don't see when they are catching a flight. There’s a lot of paperwork and coordinating that happens in this small office. We don't have a big team or a fancy reception area. It is just a group of us sitting at our desks and making sure the logistics for the terminal are sorted out. The weather in Assam can be quite damp, so we spend a lot of time making sure our records stay dry and the equipment is running. We don't use any corporate jargon or talk about global visions. We just focus on the task at hand for the day. If the cargo needs to move or the staff schedules need fixing, we handle it. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time. People in the neighborhood know us and we like being part of the local community here in Dispur. It is just a steady job for a small group of hard workers.
