6 Pack

Our gym, 6 Pack, is located in a pretty unique spot at 5-5-428/3, right by the servant quarters of the Exhibition Ground in Nampally, Hyderabad. It is not one of those air-conditioned, shiny fitness centers you see in the malls. This is a place for people who really want to work out without any distractions. The equipment is older but it works just fine if you use it right. We are right in the middle of the action when the big exhibitions come to town, so it gets very crowded and loud around here sometimes. But most of the time, it’s just us and the regulars who come in to lift weights and stay in shape. The floor is a bit uneven in places and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody here really minds. We are more interested in getting the sweat going. I spend my time checking the machines and making sure the weights are put back in the right place, which doesn't always happen. It’s a gritty, honest environment where everyone knows each other. You won’t find any fancy juice bars here, just a water cooler and some hard work. We like it that way. It fits the Nampally vibe perfectly. People come here from all over the local area because they know they can just be themselves and train hard without anyone bothering them or making them feel out of place.
