Highway Rainbow

We’ve been here on National Highway 6 for a good while now. Most people find us because they’re driving past the Bisk Farm factory or stopping for fuel at the Reliance pump nearby. It’s a busy stretch of road in Uluberia. We mostly see drivers and families heading through Howrah who need a break from the steering wheel. The place isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a spot to sit down for a bit before getting back on the highway towards Kulgachia or wherever you’re headed. We try to keep things clean and moving. Sometimes the traffic outside gets pretty loud, especially with all the trucks moving through this part of West Bengal. It’s just a handful of us working here every day. We know the local roads well and see the same faces every now and then when people take this route regularly. There is plenty of dust from the highway, but that is just how it is around here. We open up early and stay till late because that is when people are on the move. If you are coming from the Palara side, we are right there on the main road. It gets hot in the afternoons, so having a place to stop matters to the folks driving long distances. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. Just a local spot by the petrol pump where you can stretch your legs. We keep the water cold and the tables wiped down as best as we can between the rushes.
