Street No. 2 in Sirsa is where you will find us. S M B Geeta High School is right in the middle of things here near the Sirsa Ho area. It is a tight spot, but we make it work every day. The school has been part of this neighborhood for quite a few years now. You can see the kids coming down the lane with their heavy bags every morning. It gets quite noisy around noon when everyone is out for their break. We have these old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with papers and tea cups, which is just how it goes when you are busy. We do not have a huge campus or anything like that. It is just a solid building where we do our jobs. Sirsa-Haryana can be a tough place to work during the peak of summer, but we manage. We have got a lot of history in these walls, even if the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. It is a local school for local people. Most parents live just a few streets away, so we see them all the time at the market or just walking by. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a place for learning and sitting through classes until the day is done. We keep the gates shut and stay busy.
