Guru Nanak High School

If you go to Sirsa Ho, you will find Guru Nanak High School. We are right there in the Sirsa-Haryana area. It’s an old part of town. The school has been around long enough that some of our current students' parents went here too. It’s a high school, so the kids are at that age where they have a lot of energy. The building is solid, made of brick and mortar that has stood the test of time. We have a few trees in the courtyard that provide some shade. Mornings start with the sound of the prayer and then it’s straight to work. We don't have much in the way of high-tech stuff. We use blackboards and notebooks. It works fine for us. The staff at Guru Nanak High School is like a small family. We’ve worked together for a long time. Sirsa is a place where everyone knows everyone else. We see the same faces at the market and at the school gate. We handle the daily tasks, like checking attendance and marking papers. Sometimes we have to fix a leak in the roof or paint a wall when it starts looking peeled. It’s a lot of maintenance. We aren’t trying to be the most modern place, just a reliable school for the local children. That is our day-to-day life here. We keep it simple and keep it going. No fuss, just the usual school day in Sirsa.
