Doon Valley International School

Our school is located on Hisar Road, right near the Sirsa Ho area. It’s a big spot in Sirsa-Haryana. Even though the name sounds a bit grand, Doon Valley International School is really just a place for local kids to learn. We have a lot of buses because students come from quite a distance to get here. You’ll see the line of yellow buses early in the morning and again in the afternoon. The school grounds are fairly large, so there’s space for the kids to move around. We have classrooms that stay pretty busy from 8 in the morning until the final bell rings. It’s a bit of a whirlwind during the day with teachers moving between rooms and kids switching classes. The office is usually the place where you’ll find parents asking about fees or bus routes. We don't use much fancy language to describe ourselves; we’re just a school trying to do right by the families in Sirsa. The weather out here can get really hot, so the fans are always going full blast. We have a mix of younger and older students, so the atmosphere changes depending on which wing of the building you’re in. It’s a practical, everyday environment. We focus on the books and the sports and getting through the school year without too much trouble. It’s a solid part of the Sirsa community and has been for a while now. We just take it one day at a time and keep moving.
