Ch. Harpal Singh Convent Senior Secondary School

Down here in Ellenabad, things move at their own pace. Our school is situated right in this part of Sirsa, and we’ve become a bit of a fixture in the neighborhood. You will see the name Ch. Harpal Singh on the front, and the gates are usually open early for the staff who come in from the nearby villages. The building is a solid structure, though it needs a bit of paint here and there from time to time. We have a lot of students who come from farming families, so they understand hard work. During the harvest season, things can get a bit quiet, but usually, the hallways are full of noise. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated systems. It’s mostly about getting the books out and getting through the syllabus before the exams start. The courtyard is where everything happens, from morning prayers to the kids playing tag during their lunch break. We have a few trees that we planted years ago which are finally big enough to give some real shade. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everyone, but the teachers here are used to it. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to make sure every student gets a fair shake. Life in Ellenabad is simple, and our school reflects that. We just show up, do the job, and hope the kids learn something useful for their future. It is just a place for learning.
