R K P School

R K P School is located on Janta Bhawan Road in Sirsa. It’s a fairly well-known spot in the Sirsa Ho area. The school building is set back a little from the road, with a gate that we lock every evening. There are some big trees nearby that give us a bit of a breeze when the Haryana heat gets too strong. The classrooms are simple with high ceilings and fans that squeak a bit when they’re on high speed. We have a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. The students arrive on their cycles or are dropped off by their parents, and then the whole place wakes up. We spend a good portion of our time making sure the registers are updated and the classrooms are swept. The benches are made of wood and have been polished by years of use. In the winter, it gets quite cold, so everyone comes wrapped up in sweaters and shawls. We have a small area where we keep the sports equipment, mostly just some bats and balls. There’s a small office near the entrance where we keep the files and answer the phone. It is a quiet, straightforward kind of place. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some charts on the walls and the occasional notice pinned to the board. It’s a place of work and study, nothing more, nothing less. We just take it day by day.
