Our school is right in Sirsa. It’s a place where kids from the neighborhood spend their days. The building is a few floors high and sits on a regular street. It can get a bit loud during drop-off and pick-up times with all the rickshaws and parents standing around. We have classrooms for different ages. The walls have some drawings and charts on them to help with the learning, though some are getting a bit faded now. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a school for regular families who want their kids to get an education close to home. There’s a small area where the children can play during their lunch break. It gets pretty lively out there. We have a set of teachers who have been with us for quite some time now. They know the families and the siblings who came before. It’s a familiar routine every day. The morning assembly is when we all get together before heading to the rooms. We deal with things like broken chalk, missing notebooks, and squeaky fans all the time. It’s just how it is when you work with kids. Haryana summers are very hot, so we make sure the fans are running. We don't use big words or fancy talk when we talk to parents. We just tell them how their child is doing in class. It’s a straightforward way of running things. We just keep going and try to keep the place together. It’s just a normal school day for us.
