Our company is right in the middle of the action at Shop Number 2 in the Cotton Market in Barwala. It’s a busy place, especially during the peak seasons. You can hear the noise of the market all day long. Naloi Skilled Farmer Producer Company was started to bring more of a professional touch to what we do, even though we are still just local folks. Being at the cotton market means we are right where the trade happens. It gets very dusty and loud with all the trucks and people moving around. We don't have a quiet office environment. Usually, there’s someone coming in to ask a question or just to have a chat. We try to keep our records straight, but it's a lot of work. The word "Skilled" in our name is something we take seriously, even if we are still learning every day. We aren't some big brand you see on billboards. We're just the people you see at the market every morning. It’s a lot of physical work and sometimes the market prices don't go the way we want. But that's the risk you take in this business. We just keep our shop open and try to help the farmers who are part of our group. There is always a stack of cotton samples somewhere and a ledger that needs updating. We don't use fancy software, just pen and paper for most things. It works for us and keeps us connected to the reality of the market.
