Our office is on the first floor of building 168, right in the middle of the Anaj Mandi. If you know the grain market, you know it is a loud, dusty, and incredibly busy place, especially during the peak months of the year. We are right there in the thick of it, which makes it easy to see what is happening with the prices and the grain coming in. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it is a practical place to work. We spend our days watching the trucks go by and talking to the farmers who bring their loads to the market. Being an agro producer company here means we don't have much peace and quiet, but that is okay with us. We are usually shouting over the noise of the tractors outside or dealing with the heat that gets trapped on the first floor. It is an honest way to spend the day, making sure the farmers get a fair deal and the produce is moving like it should. We have a small desk for the paperwork and a bench where people can sit while they wait for their turn. There is always a bit of grain on the floor that we missed while sweeping, and the smell of the Mandi is always in the air. We don't need anything fancy because we are here to do a job.
