Miran Fast Farmers Producer Company

Over here in the village of Miran, we run Miran Fast Farmers Producer Company. It's located right at Mahabir’s place. Being a farmer producer company means we spend a lot of time talking to the local guys around here. Things move a bit slower in the VPO but that’s fine by us. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in our area have a way to work together. Most of our meetings happen sitting outside or in a small room. It gets dusty sometimes when the tractors go by. We deal with whatever crops are in season. The name "Fast" was added, but honestly, farming takes the time it takes. You can't rush the soil. Mahabir keeps the records and makes sure we stay on track with the paperwork. It’s a lot of work for a small group. We aren't looking for awards or anything like that. Just trying to get a fair shake for the hard work people put in. The weather is always a big topic of conversation here. If it rains, we're happy, if not, we worry. That is just how life is in Miran. We don't use big words or fancy brochures. If someone wants to know what we do, they usually just walk up and ask us. It's simpler that way. We have a few old chairs and a table where we sit and talk about seeds and prices. It’s not much, but it’s ours and we are proud of the work we do.
