Keorak Aarya Farmer Producer Company Limited is run out of Bhayankar Patti. You can find us at house 321, where Parveen Kumar lives. He is Chet Ram’s son. It is a very local operation. We are all from around Keorak and we know the land here like the back of our hands. Being a producer company means we get to look out for each other. Instead of one farmer struggling with the middleman, we act as a group. It makes the daily grind a bit more manageable. Most days, someone is stopping by the house to ask about seeds or to see when the next truck is coming. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly just sit in the shade and talk about what the fields need. The patti is a tight-knit place, and news travels fast here. If one of us has a problem, everyone knows about it by lunch. We try to use that to our advantage. Parveen keeps the books mostly straight, and we all pitch in with the heavy lifting when it is time to move the produce. It is just honest work that needs doing. We have been doing this for a while and we plan to keep going as long as the rain keeps falling and the soil stays good. The seasons come and go, and we just keep the house open for business.
