Ghirai Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right in the village of Ghirai in the Hansi area of Hisar. We use house number 841 as our main base. It’s a local place run by local people. We spend our days dealing with the everyday realities of farming in this part of Haryana. It isn't always easy and there are plenty of frustrations with the weather and the prices. But we’ve lived in Ghirai all our lives so we’re used to the ups and downs. Our office is just a plain room where we keep our files and meet up for tea. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just speak our minds and try to help each other out. Working as a producer company means a lot of coordination and sometimes it feels like we’re doing a thousand things at once. We don't pretend to be some huge corporation. We’re just a group of people from the village trying to make things work a bit better for everyone. If you come by Hansi, you’ll find that we are pretty easy to talk to. We don't hide behind big desks or secretaries. Most of the time we’re just wearing regular clothes and trying to figure out the best way to move the next load of produce. It’s a simple, hardworking life and we’re okay with that.
