The college is a big part of the local life here. Many of the families have been sending their children to us for years. The walk to the college is pretty standard for a village setting, through some open areas and past local houses. We have a few buildings that make up the campus. They aren't brand new but they are kept up as best as we can manage. Inside, the classrooms have the basic stuff you’d expect like benches and boards. We don't have air conditioning or anything high-tech, just fans and open windows to let the air in. In the rainy season, the ground outside gets a bit muddy, but we manage to keep things moving. The staff here mostly comes from the surrounding villages too. We all know each other quite well. It’s a friendly place where people stop to chat at the gate. We spend our mornings checking the attendance and getting the lessons started. During the afternoon, it gets a bit quieter until the final bell rings and everyone heads home. We’re just a regular inter college trying to do right by the local students in Berisala. It’s a steady kind of life here and we just take it one day at a time.
