Krishak Kanya Inter College

Krishak Kanya Inter College is out in Wahanpur, Hathras. This is a school specifically for girls in this area. Hathras is a place that feels a bit more traditional and quiet compared to the big cities. The college itself is a straightforward building, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. It’s located in a spot where there’s a bit more space around than you’d find in a crowded city center. We have classrooms that are quite basic, with just the essential furniture and blackboards. The students come from the local families around Wahanpur and other nearby parts of Hathras. Many of them walk to school or come on their cycles. It’s a very local atmosphere here. We don't have any big marketing budgets or glossy posters. Most people know us simply because we have been here for the girls in the community for quite some time. The teachers are mostly local people too. We spend our days going through the syllabus and making sure the girls are prepared for their inter-college exams. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, and the building doesn't have any modern cooling, just the fans. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes with the resources we have, but we manage to keep things running. It’s just an honest, everyday place for learning. There’s no corporate polish here, just people doing their jobs and students trying to learn. We take things one day at a time here in the village.
