K S Inter College

Our college is in Village Mehrara, which is a bit outside the main Hathras town. It is a rural setting, so we have a lot of open space and fresh air around the buildings. Many of our students come from the nearby farms and small villages. They often have to travel a good distance on cycles or buses to get here every morning, so we try to be mindful of that when we set the timings. The college building is a solid brick structure that has stood for quite some time. It does not have any of the fancy architectural features you might see in big city schools. We have desks that have been used by many batches of students and walls that we try to keep clean with a fresh coat of lime every now and then. The office is usually where all the daily action happens, with people coming in to pay their fees or ask for various certificates. We spend a lot of time just managing the flow of students and making sure the classes are actually happening as scheduled in the timetable. We do not have a massive library, but we keep the books the students need for their specific subjects. The playground is just a patch of cleared land where they play cricket or volleyball. It is a very grounded and simple place to study.
