About Shrradheylal Inter College – Education in Hathras
This college is located out in Village Ahan in Hathras. It is a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the city. You see a lot of green fields and open space as you come toward the building. The students come from Ahan and also from several other small villages nearby. Many of them walk or come on their bicycles through the dirt paths and narrow lanes. The building itself is quite large because it is an inter college, so we have many older students here preparing for their exams. It isn't a modern glass building; it is made of brick and cement and painted in simple, light colors. We have a big open space where the kids can sit under the trees when it is not too hot in the afternoon. Hathras is known for being a bit quiet, and our college reflects that atmosphere. The classrooms are basic with old-style desks and benches. Sometimes a goat or a cow wanders near the main gate, which is just how life is in the village. We focus on the lessons and getting through the syllabus every year without much fuss. The teachers are mostly people from this district who understand the local way of life. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy. We just open the windows and let the breeze in while the students study. It is a practical place for students to get their education without having to travel a long distance.
