Dandesari Farmer Producer Company is based right here in our village of Dandesari in Hathras. Dinesh Kumar Singh is the one who handles a lot of the coordination from his place. We are a local group of farmers who got tired of working completely on our own. In Hathras, we have our own way of doing things, and our company is just an extension of that. We focus on what the land gives us. It’s mostly about getting our hands dirty and making sure the crops are healthy. We don’t have a fancy corporate structure. Most of our meetings happen while we’re actually out near the fields or sitting on the porch. We deal with the seeds and the harvest and all the headaches that come with the weather being unpredictable. Sometimes the rains are too much, and sometimes they don't come at all. We just try to balance things out as a group. Our setup is very basic. If you look for us at the address in 204215, don't expect a big sign or a lobby. You’ll just find us working. We help the local farmers get what they need without having to travel too far or pay too much. It’s a simple goal, really. We are just people from the village working for the village. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream; we're just trying to sell our potatoes or grain at a fair price. It takes a lot of patience to do this year after year.
