Akarbas Farmers Producer Company Limited

In Danpur, Bulandshahr, we have our small setup at Chandraprakash’s house. It’s right there in the middle of the village life. Most of us grew up on these farms, so starting a producer company felt like the natural thing to do. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is mostly about coordinating between the farmers and the markets. Some mornings we are up before the sun to check on the progress of the wheat or the sugarcane. Bulandshahr is a busy place for agriculture and we are just a small part of that big picture. We handle the distribution and try to make sure everyone gets their fair share of the work and the profit. The office is just a room with a few chairs and a lot of registers. Sometimes the fans don't work and we just open the windows to let the dust in. It’s not always pretty but it is honest work. We don't have any polished mission statements or fancy goals written on the walls. Our main thing is just making sure the crops don't go to waste and the farmers have what they need for the next season. It’s about the soil and the hard work of the people here in Danpur. We take things one day at a time and hope the weather stays on our side. It is just how we live and work around here.
