About Nikhil Marble N Tiles – Building & Construction Material in Gwalior
Our shop is on Roshni Ghar Road, right across from the M.P.E.V. office. It is a pretty busy stretch of road, especially during the morning rush. We have a lot of marble and tiles on display, though it is hard to keep everything looking perfect with all the dust from the street. We spend a lot of time cleaning the slabs so people can see the patterns in the stone. Marble is heavy stuff, and moving it around is a two or three-man job most of the time. We have all sorts of tiles too, stacked up in the back. Sometimes people come in and spend hours looking at every single option, and other times they know exactly what they want in five minutes. We just let them take their time. The light in the shop is not the best, so we often take pieces out to the sidewalk so the customers can see the real color in the sunlight. It is a small business and we don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to sell good material and keep the shop running for another year. My cousin helps me out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We do not have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it is just a regular shop where we do regular work. When the M.P.E.V. workers finish their shift, the road gets even more crowded, and that is usually when we think about heading home ourselves.
