You can find Rashid Habibs Hair & Beauty over on R G Baruah Road in Guwahati. We are situated near the Blue Flame Gate Agency. It's a busy part of town with a lot of cars and people moving around all day. The shop itself is a modest space where we do both hair and beauty services. We started this place because we wanted a local shop that handled everything in one go. It’s usually me and a couple of others working the chairs. We get a mix of people coming in—students, office workers, and families from the neighborhood. Some days the floor is covered in hair from morning till night. We do our best to sweep up between clients. It’s nothing like those high-end places in the malls. We just have our scissors, some creams, and a few mirrors. The chairs are comfortable enough for a quick cut. We've been here for a good bit now and have seen the road get busier every year. Most of our tools are things we've had since the beginning. We don't really follow all those crazy trends you see on TV, but we can do a decent job if someone asks. It's just a regular business on a regular street in Guwahati. We try to keep things friendly and relaxed. Sometimes we have the radio on to keep us company when it’s quiet. It’s a good spot to work and meet the locals.
