Nabin Hair Dress

Nabin Hair Dress is located in Rukmini Gaon, right along the busy G S Road in the Khanapara area of Guwahati. It is a very convenient spot for people who are commuting or living nearby. The shop is not very large, but we make the most of the space we have. There are the standard barber chairs and a long mirror that runs the length of the wall. Being on G S Road means there is a constant stream of cars and buses outside, so it is never truly quiet. We open up in the morning and stay busy until the sun goes down. Most of our work is simple haircuts and shaves for the local men. We have a small bench for people to sit and wait their turn. Sometimes we have the news on a small television in the corner. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, but that is the sign of a good day's work. We use a lot of talcum powder and spray bottles, and the scent of those stays in the air. Rukmini Gaon is a nice neighborhood, and we have many regulars who have been coming to us for years. We don't use any fancy techniques, just the reliable ones we have always used. It is a modest shop and we just focus on getting people through the door and back to their day feeling a little better. The traffic outside is always humming along the main road.
