Tilda Rice

We have been set up here in Gurgaon for quite some time now. Dealing with rice is just what we do every single day at Tilda Rice Land. The warehouse is always busy and there is usually a lot of heavy lifting involved. People from all over Haryana come to us when they need to stock up their supplies. It is not a fancy place at all. It is just rows of bags stacked up and trucks coming in and out of the yard. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere when the wind picks up, but that is just part of the job. We spend most of our mornings checking the quality of the grains and making sure the bags are tied up properly. It is steady work. My cousin started helping out last year because it got to be a bit much for me to handle on my own. We do not have a big office or anything, just a small wooden desk near the main door where we keep our books. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons here in Gurgaon, so we usually take a break around then. Most of our regulars are local shop owners or families who have been buying from us for years. They know exactly where to find us. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out on time. It is a simple life, honestly. You get used to the smell of raw rice after a while. It is quiet in the evenings once the trucks stop.
