We spend a lot of our time here at No. 9/11 in the Maruti Industrial Area. It is quite a busy part of Sector 18. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot, trying to beat the worst of the traffic coming into the industrial zone. You can hear the machines running as soon as you get near the gates. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels right when everything is moving. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever found the time, but there is always something more pressing to do. People here just get on with their jobs. We have our regulars who drop by, and the delivery drivers know exactly where the loading bay is without asking. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the front office, but we just wipe it down and keep going. Lunch is usually a quick affair, maybe some tea from the stall around the corner. We don’t have much in the way of fancy stuff, just the equipment we need and a place to work. It feels like a proper community in Sector 18. Everyone is just trying to do a good day’s work and head home. The parking area gets pretty cramped by mid-morning, so you have to be careful not to box anyone in. We have a small fan in the corner that rattles, but it keeps the air moving when it gets muggy. It is just a normal factory life really, nothing too special but it is ours and we keep it running as well as we can every single day.
