Kataria Ice Cube

Working out of the Biswa Building at Plot No.35 has its good days and its bad ones. Our place is in Sector 12, and anyone who knows this part of town can tell you how crowded it gets near the Sheetla Mata Mandir. The Saini Chaupal is always full of life, so a quiet moment is pretty rare around here. At Kataria Ice Cube, the work involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving crates around. Your hands are almost always cold or wet, which isn't always fun in the winter months. We occupy No.8 in the building, which is just a functional space with machinery and storage. Most of our focus is on getting orders filled and making sure the delivery trucks can actually get through the narrow spots near the chowk. Traffic around the temple is a real mess during the festivals, so we just have to plan everything a bit better during those times. We see many of the same people every week, mostly local shopkeepers who need ice to keep their own supplies from spoiling. It is a steady routine that keeps us busy from the early morning hours until late at night. We don't really do much else besides this ice work. It is a very straightforward job. Sometimes we take a quick break by the building entrance and just watch the people walking toward the Mandir. It is a decent enough spot to be in, right in Ward No.3.
