Hottiffin

If you’re driving down MG Road, you can’t miss us. We’re right at Sikandarpur, directly opposite Metro Pillar No. 51. That’s usually how we tell people to find Hottiffin. It’s a noisy spot with the metro rumbling overhead and all the cars zooming by, but it’s a great location for what we do. The kitchen starts getting warm early in the morning. We’re busy chopping, stirring, and packing tiffins to get them out before the lunch rush hits. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the right food goes to the right person. The steam from the pots fills the room and there’s always a smell of something cooking in the air. We don’t have a lot of time for sitting around. Once the tiffins are packed, they’re out the door and we’re already thinking about the next day’s menu. Sikandarpur is always moving, and we have to move with it. People are always in a hurry on MG Road, so we try to keep things fast. The space isn't huge, but we’ve organized it so every pot and pan has its place. It gets a bit chaotic when the delivery guys are all lined up, but that’s just how a kitchen works. We aren't a five-star restaurant, just a place making real food for people who need a good meal while they’re at work. We just stay focused on the cooking.
