Denso

I work over at Denso in Village Khawaspur, which is near the Jamalpur post office in Gurgaon. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here every day, especially when the roads are muddy during the rains. The site is big, and there’s always something moving—trucks coming in or people heading to their shifts. It’s a proper industrial area. You can hear the sounds of machinery from quite a distance away. I usually start my day quite early, before the sun is fully up, to beat the worst of the Gurgaon traffic. The air out here in Khawaspur is a bit different than in the city. Inside, it’s all about the routine. We have our stations, and we know what needs to be done. It’s not the kind of place where you sit around and talk much; there’s always a quota or a deadline to meet. But the guys I work with are good people. We share tea during the breaks and complain about the heat. It’s a hard-working environment. We don’t have a fancy lobby for visitors. It’s a functional place built for production. Most of us live in the nearby villages or commute from Gurgaon. We just come in, do our shift, and head back home. It’s a steady life, and the work is consistent, which is what matters at the end of the day for everyone here.
