We’re up on the 14th floor of Building 9-A in DLF Cyber City. If you’ve ever been to Phase III, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s all glass buildings and people in a hurry. Our office is just one of many in this huge complex. We spend a lot of time at our desks, looking out at the other towers. The elevators take forever in the morning when everyone is trying to get to work at the same time. It’s a lot of spreadsheets, phone calls, and meetings in small rooms. The air conditioning is always blasting, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks even when it's hot outside. It feels very different from a local shop. Everything is very structured here. You have your badge to get in and the security guards know us by now. We deal with a lot of data and logistics stuff. It’s a big company, so there are always new people to meet from different departments. Lunch is usually a quick trip down to the food court or sitting in the breakroom with a container from home. By the time five or six o'clock rolls around, everyone is rushing back to the metro or their cars. The view from the 14th floor is okay, mostly just more buildings and the highway. It’s just a regular office life, trying to stay on top of the workload and getting things done before the weekend comes around again.
