Cafe 55

Cafe 55 is part of the Park Inn Hotel in the Civil Lines area of Gurgaon. Civil Lines is a bit different from the rest of the city; it feels a little more established and maybe not as frantic as the newer parts of Gurgaon. We are right there on the main stretch. The cafe serves as a place for hotel guests to have their meals, but we also see people from the local offices coming in. We keep things pretty simple. The menu has the usual stuff you’d find in a place like this. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized. In the mornings, it’s all about getting the coffee started and making sure the buffet is set up. The staff here has a routine they stick to. We don't really do marketing or anything like that. We just rely on being in a good spot and providing what people need. Sometimes the weather in Gurgaon makes everyone want to stay indoors, so we get busy when it’s too hot or raining hard. The chairs are comfortable, and we try to keep the music at a level where people can actually talk. It’s just a normal cafe in a normal hotel. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure you get your sandwich or your tea without having to wait forever.
