The Royal Family Restaurant

Our place, The Royal Family Restaurant, is situated at 917/23 on Khandsa Road in Gurgaon. It’s a bit of a busy spot because we’re right opposite the DAV School ground gate and near the Ashley Hotel in Heera Nagar. You can always hear the kids playing or the school bells ringing across the street. It keeps the area lively. The restaurant isn't one of those shiny new places you see in the malls. It’s a bit more lived-in than that. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the dining area is neat enough for people to sit. Gurgaon can be a fast-paced place, but on Khandsa Road, things feel a little more grounded. We have our regulars who come in, and we know their names and what they usually like. We don't try to be something we're not. There are no corporate meetings here, just us talking about what needs to be bought from the market or which table needs fixing. Sometimes the traffic outside gets backed up and it’s a bit noisy, but that’s just life in Heera Nagar. We just keep the doors open and take things as they come. It’s a practical way to run a business, and it’s how we’ve always handled things here near the school gate. Sometimes the power cuts out, but we just carry on with a few candles until it's back.
