Thai Pavilion (Vivanta By Taj Hotel)

Thai Pavilion is located inside the Vivanta by Taj Hotel over in Sector 44 of Gurgaon. We’re quite close to the Huda City Metro Station, so it’s easy enough to get here even with all the Gurgaon traffic to deal with. Being part of the hotel means we’ve been around for a long time. The kitchen is focused on Thai food, and we’ve got chefs who have been doing this for many years. It’s a bit of a walk from the main hotel entrance to get to our door, but people seem to find us okay. We don't really do much self-promotion or advertising. Most people find out about us because they’re staying in the hotel or they live in the nearby apartments in Sector 44. The atmosphere is generally quiet and relaxed, which is a nice change compared to the noise outside on the main roads. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen prepping fresh ingredients like galangal and lemongrass. It’s just a restaurant where we try to get the flavors right for the guests. We aren't trying to be the trendiest spot in Gurgaon; we just show up and do our job every day. The staff is used to the routine of working in a hotel environment. We open for lunch and then again for the dinner shift. Sometimes it’s very busy and other times it’s just a few tables, but we keep the kitchen running regardless.
