Sach Bhojnalaya

You can find us on M G Road in the Sukhrali area of Gurgaon. We are right across from the main gate of Sector 17-C. This part of town has changed a whole lot since we first opened our doors. There are big buildings everywhere now, but we stayed pretty much the same. We are just a simple bhojnalaya where people come to get a meal that doesn’t cost too much. We don’t have any of that fancy air conditioning you see in the malls. We just have some ceiling fans that hum all day. The tables are wooden and a bit worn at the edges from years of use. We get a lot of office workers and laborers during the lunch hour. It gets really crowded then and people sometimes have to wait for a stool. We don't have a long menu with hundreds of items. We just make a few things every day and try to get the taste right. My wife helps me with the accounts and the boys in the kitchen have been with us for years. The traffic on M G Road is always a mess, so we hear the honking all afternoon. It’s a bit loud but you get used to it. We keep our water cool in clay pots during the summer. It’s a very basic way of doing things, but it’s how we like it. We aren't looking to be famous, just to keep the stove burning.
