Working at Pooja Light Tent House means we are always on the move. We are located right near the High School in Dundahera, so every morning we see the students walking by while we’re loading up the trucks. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, carrying iron poles, folded tents, and bundles of wiring for the lights. Most people don’t realize how much sweat goes into setting up a simple function. We spend our days untangling strings of lights and checking if any bulbs have smashed during the last event. Dundahera can get quite dusty, so we are constantly cleaning the fabric of the tents so they don't look too dingy. It’s not a glamorous job, and my hands are usually covered in some kind of dirt or grease from the truck. We don’t have a big showroom; it’s mostly just the warehouse full of stuff stacked to the ceiling. When the wedding season hits, we barely sleep, going from one site to another, making sure the generators are working and the fairy lights are draped just right over the gates. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice and a tent might leak, or a fuse blows, and we have to rush over to fix it in the dark. It’s just us and a few local guys who know how to tie the knots and climb the ladders. We’ve been doing this for a long time, just providing the basics for a good party.
