Filmi Masala

We set up shop on the second level of the DLF City Centre mall right on M.G. Road. It’s one of those spots where you see a lot of different people every day. Some are just window shopping while others are in a big rush to get somewhere else. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the mall life, which is a bit different than having a shop on the street. It’s mostly about being ready for when the movie theater lets out or when the weekend crowds start pouring in. Our space isn't huge, but it's enough for us to do what we need to do. We spend a lot of our time just managing the counter and making sure the kitchen is running okay. The M.G. Road area is always packed with traffic, so it’s actually a bit of a relief to be inside with the air conditioning. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything. It's just us, a few staff members who have been here since the start, and the daily routine of serving food. We try to keep the tables wiped down and the orders coming out on time. Sometimes the mall music gets a bit repetitive, but you stop noticing it after an hour or two. It’s a decent place to work, and we’ve made some good friends with the people who work in the other shops nearby. We just take things one day at a time here.
