Candle Light Restaurant

We’re up on the first floor of Ansal Plaza in Palam Vihar. Candle Light Restaurant has been a part of this mall for a while now. It’s a pretty straightforward setup. We come in early to get the tables set and the kitchen prepped. It’s mostly about making sure the lights are right and the place feels okay for dinner. We get a mix of people—some families shopping, some folks working nearby. We aren't trying to win any big awards or anything. We just want to serve a decent meal that doesn't cost a fortune. The mall can be quiet during the week, which gives us time to clean the floors and check the inventory. On weekends, it picks up and we’re all on our feet for hours. The menu has the usual stuff people like to eat. We’ve got a small team, mostly guys who have worked in kitchens around Gurgaon for years. We know the regulars by name and what they usually order. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just a local restaurant doing its thing. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up or a lightbulb flickers, and we just deal with it. It’s a simple business. We open the doors, cook the food, and go home at the end of the night. That’s pretty much the story of us here in Palam Vihar.
