Bds Public School

Ajnala is a quiet enough place most of the time, and our school is right here in the mix of things. Being in Amritsar, we get all the seasons, the heavy rains and the dry heat. Bds Public School isn't trying to be anything it's not. We’ve got the classrooms set up and the teachers come in early every day. You can hear the morning assembly from down the street if the wind is blowing right. We see a lot of local families, people we’ve known for years. Some of the kids here have siblings who finished years ago. It’s a bit of a routine, really. We open up, get the registers ready, and wait for the noise to start. The desks are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of color, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time just making sure everything is running okay. Dealing with the paperwork or talking to a parent about their child's progress. It’s practical work. No one here is putting on an act. We’re just a school in Ajnala trying to get through the syllabus. Sometimes the bell rings late or a teacher is out sick, and we just figure it out. That’s just how a local place works. We’ve been here in this 143102 area for a good bit now, just part of the daily life for families around here.
