Sikh Heritage Modal High School

Sikh Heritage Modal High School is right on Tanda Road in Harchowal. Most people around Gurdaspur know the spot because it’s where all the buses pass through. We’ve been running things here for a while, and the building has seen a lot of students come and go. It’s not a huge place, just a regular school where we try to keep the classrooms tidy and the fans working when it gets hot in the summer. Gurdaspur summers are no joke, to be honest. Some of us walk to work, while others come from the nearby villages on scooters. The morning assembly is usually the loudest part of the day, and you can hear the kids all the way down the road. We have a playground that’s a bit dusty, but it gets the job done for the afternoon games. The teachers here are local folks who have been around the neighborhood for years. We don't have fancy tech or anything like that, just the usual chalkboards and wooden desks that have been scratched up by generations of kids. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows to catch a breeze. It’s a simple life here in Harchowal. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids show up on time. It gets pretty busy around exam time, with everyone rushing to finish their notes. That's pretty much how it goes here every single day for us.
