Sri Guru Harkrishan International School

If you drive out toward Vill Barnala on Behrampur Road in Gurdaspur, you will find us. Sri Guru Harkrishan International School is situated in a bit of a quieter area compared to the middle of town. There is a lot of open space around the building, which is nice for the students. The commute out here is pretty straightforward, though the road can be a bit bumpy in some spots. We have buses that bring in kids from all the surrounding villages. The school itself is a large building with plenty of windows to let the light in. We do not have a lot of fancy trimmings. The focus is just on the daily routine of classes and sports. You will often see the groundskeeper working on the grass or teachers carrying stacks of homework to their cars. It is a very grounded atmosphere. We are not trying to be anything other than a good local school. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of life here. The staff are mostly people from Gurdaspur who have been with us for years. We all know each other well. It feels like a small village of its own inside the school walls. We just keep things moving along, day after day, making sure the kids have what they need to learn their lessons.
